State of Emergency

This month has been too full of emergencies already. Baby Cam and his fever episode taking us to Children's ER in the middle of the night last week, and the "Firestorm 07" this week...making us Heits the refugees, fleeing to the beach.. only to be reevacuated and now back home with the smoke looking like fog surrounding Silverado street. We are all sitting here just waiting to see if the fire is going to hop over to a danger zone again, with the cars full of pictures and god knows what... every trip back into the house was grabbing one more pair of pants or random baby item... we came to the realization that there isn't much "stuff" in our lives that we can't buy again at Target...even going around taking fotos for insurance.. what? replace our ikea furniture, piles of magazines and garage sale lamps? Sure makes shoes and clothes seem trivial. Never has it hit home more that the most important things is that at least we're all healthy and together...sounds cliche, but... Pray for rain.. or at least for this wind to stop... in the mean time, I'll bake?

Boys can only get away with wearing farm-animal-multi-print-coverall-suits when they're cute and teeny like C. I am loving dressing him up in all sorts of cutie pie euro and preppy stuff.. before he turns into his dad and sister and never wants to bathe and wants to live in jeans and cut offs and t-shirts.

Tummy Time

Everyone raves about "Tummy Time" so I thought we'd give it a whirl on C's rad little surfboard. Jbird was into it.. and Campbell has the strongest neck, he loved it... look out "Surf for the Sea" contest, 2013... haa, Dad and Jeremy will be in geezer category and Cam will be taking home the big kid trophy.
