Time flies when you're .... well, you know...

a 7 and 8 year old-going-on-16 years old out on the town with "Bibif" to see the school play of "School House Rocks" on a Friday night. Whoop whoop! Party! Jadyn pictured here in her "teenager shirt and tight jeans" (her words) and Emma, as always, a self-professed girlie-girl. When given a choice of stopping for burgers on the way home, or the new neighborhood 7-11.. yes, the ladies chose Slurpees and whatever they wanted to eat.. whoah. go big! it was dusky out so a little blur on the picture...

KILLING ME here... Campbell couldn't wait to get his shirt off when he saw that Justin was home from work on this unusually warm Friday afternoon...goes straight for the skateboard and tries to ride it.... ya... let's get that walking thing down first, huh? ...and he is obsessed with hats and helmets of all kinds... especially when they don't fit/ are on backwards or sideways.. he really gets a kick out of himself. good lord.

While out to lunch with Auntie Des (who still cuts his nails on demand)... it became apparent that Campbell was in DIRE need of his first haircut.. No one could be more appauled than Des, whose kid has had a faux hawk since birth. WARNING. These photos are a far cry from our glamourous life portrayed in the prior photoshoot. Campbell's "Before" shots..NO, I didn't really have him wearing a ponytail before we got to "KidZ Kuts" in the high class strip mall in Escondido... I mean, if he was a girl.. you KNOW it would be clipped.. but,

Sanjaya?? or whatever the American Idol guy's name was... with the rat tail..He played it cool with the Spiderman cape for a while... but was over it shortly...

When times get tough, bills pile up, the holiday cookies are giving me love handles and we just get stuck in a rut... all it takes is a jaunt down to the beach to feel like we're on vacation... How awesome for kids to grow up like this.. running in diapers at the beach in January.
