Lucky Number Seven

Awe!! 7 months old already! Campbell is so hysterical and always has a smile...interests include whatever Jadyn is doing, exersaucering, eating his own shoes and assorted other non-edible objects... Not crawling yet, but up on all fours and ready for troublemaking.

On the dot

Campbell is rarely found on his back these days as he is on all fours rocking back and forth, getting ready to crawl.. or rolling to get ... somewhere? scary!

T-ball.. Go Pink .... FLAMINGOS???

Yes, the 'tuff' name chosen by a bunch of 6 and 7 year olds who (lucked out with the pink uni's again) are learning the game of softball. So funny. Thank the good lord the games are based on time... EVERYone gets to bat, and run... and barely ever is there an out. Justin is way into being a base coach (moustache and all) and Jbird really loves the whole thing. To tell the truth, I only knew it was her rounding the bases w/ her helmet on by the one-sock-scrunched-down.

Daddy's girl

The second annual San Elijo Father-Daughter dance. Jadyn was SO excited about it.. and yes, this moustached man took her. In fact, he took her out to a realllly fancy dinner (I was tres jealouse) after they cut a rug at the school cafeteria. The dress reminded me of one of the first outfits Justin had for Jadyn when she was a tyke... blue pinstripe. She let me curl her hair and put on her "diamonds" and both of them donned Marc Jacobs cologne/ perfume (yes, Jadyn insisted on "spritzing" some of mine... "just like at Macy's," she said).. I don't know if Jadyn recognized the look or scent of her dad that night... he didn't smell like his usual surf-dog-non-showering-self. Flowers by Julia.

Lucky us!

Happy Half Birthday

Campbell's half birthday is kind of a big deal. Being Leap Day, it's only going to happen every 4 years... so hip-hip-hooray, (sad!) He's already 1/2 year old! But, as our little friend, Riley says, "Him is still zero". Weighing in around 14.4 lb (I snuck him onto the scale when I had to bring Jbird to the pediatrician on Friday) and gobbling all sorts of food (still no-go on the peas). He LOVES his sister and daddy... follows them with his eyes and reaches out when he sees them.. and is such a little giggler, especially ticklish under his chin. Hair=still suuuuper light, but coming in.. eyes= still not sure ?? light brownish greyish greenish. Our little lovebug.

Stupid Movie Sundays

Campbell loves to wake up at the crack of dawn on Sundays, and just 'hang out'. Of course nothing but infomercials are on regular TV, so we've taken to renting the 'straight-to-video' comedies hoping for a good chuckle with our morning coffee... Just to spare anyone a few hours of your lives, a couple of must NOT sees for your lists....

At least this one has some good Belle and Sebastian and Scissor Sisters in the soundtrack...and perhaps two or three LOLs in the American Pie vain... but when you wonder why you don't remember this one in theaters, it's a good sign that you're not missing anything..

I really like Dane Cook, too... I thought this would have a few good laffs.. I guess if you like Bugs Bunny cartoons with real life people.. you know, where he gets smashed by falling tons of bricks, runs into the fake road painted on the side of the building and ends up landing on TNT.

As an aside.. Justin and I tried to have a little at-home-date-night since we haven't been to a movie for a lonnng time... and of course, rented another loser. I don't think this movie could have moved any slower. Reese's fake pregnant belly and acting were super bad and the whole thing, even with it's creepily real non-fiction story base was just a big snoozefest.
