Last chance to be good.... "Homey" the elf was so ready to hop on Santa's sleigh and be out of here and off of his hard job of reporting on Jadyn and Campbell.

These kids obviously (Jbird even checked online on Christmas Eve) made the good list... and I think accidentally got like a small village's presents...

J and C got to see the memories of Holiday Lane.. no more monorail.. at Macy's downtown and the Pioneer Place Santa, who was the real deal, let me tell you! He even knew secrets about Jadyn (notice her surprised posture) ... probably from the Elf on the Shelf...

...Is snow-shoveling" says Jadyn.. um, ya, good luck with making money on that in San Diego.. ha! she had a blast as we were snowed in at Nana B and Big Poppi's house.

Away in a manger...

A little jaunt to Portland for a quick weekend in the snow and some time with Nana B's MANGE (as Jadyn calls it).. As always, the weekend flew by and we didn't get much done since the snow kept us homebound.

..when Santa passes out. I know. This is bad. I totally had to sneak into Journeys behind CAUTION tape and mall security (mall cops. haa!) to get a picture or no one would believe me. I couldn't bear to get a close up of his face as he was on the phone with Mrs. Claus to come pick him up..Total Wizard-of-Oz-witch-under-the-house photo... Poor moms with their babies all gussied up with those garter belt bows on their heads to get a snapshot at the mall with the big guy!

It was a big T-giving weekend for babies!!

A new baby for the Dawg House! We can't wait to meet Baby Jackson, aka, Ziggy/ Petit Nat-ay /Harry Larry Laird, born on December 1st and weighing in at 8lb. Good job, Jdawg.. you're a trooper. I know I was not alone being on pins and needles waiting for this kid to arrive.

And on the other coast, Hartley has a new sis in Charlotte! Grace Connor Fuller was born on Black Friday... I feel a soul sista in the making!

So much fun this Halloween!! We had to go ring in Townsend's (the little crushed stretch velvet devil) first Hallow by trick or treating at his house... Campbell showed him how to smash pumpkins on the ground.. notice he just let go of his and thinks it's kind of funny. Ya, wait till you hit your little penguin toe, dude.

Penguino the Happy Feet Penguin walked to a few doors, but enjoyed the ride in the stroller through our jammed packed 'hood..(hello, chocolate fountain at the other end of the street??) oh, and I guess he liked holding the Star Wars machine gun thing of Jake's too...

and Harry.. Oh, Harry. She spoke with an accent the entire night and only wanted to be referred to as, Harry. Love it.

I remember my favorite outfit when I was in 2nd or third grade... unfortunately it was not nearly as cool as Jadyn's. It had some mesh and buckles on an aqua top and the pants had a foldover waistband. I remember so vividly thinking all of the "big kids" .. (like the 4th graders?) would think it was cool... and I remember my mom hating it and probably hiding it in the dirty clothes hoping I would forget about it.

J bird is totally into her own style, which does NOT involve skirts or dresses anymore.. and since it is still so hot here, is mainly plaid shorts. I thought this was a great fall-transition outfit, not to mention pretty cool. Photo taken on the way to school on Tuesday, guitar lesson day.

He totally likes to wear these... and keeps them on. It's hysterical. They are High School Musical and say "I LOVE TROY" on the side... I mean, poor guy. We dress him up in princess outfits, he loves Oprah and Ellen.. and now this? Sorry, dude.

I am guilty of starting the half-birthday tradition with Jadyn. Every year for the last .. I don't know?? we've let her choose a cake that she wants (the last few have been soccer balls, basketballs and surfboards...) and the "birthday fairies" have left a few trinkets for her turning .. so much older. Guess who forgot this year.. Not Jadyn. Luckily I had a few nick nacks and a Ramona book in hiding.. and this awesome new cake pan from Aunt Terry. Nothing like a giant cupcake to ring in the half year.

Jdawg's shower in Newps was an adorable crafty affair to celebrate the impending arrival of Baby Laird, Campbell's future OSU roomie.... hopefully they won't be in the College of Home Ec like their moms. No fair.. the straight on angle makes it hard to tell that she's even prego.. yours truly with Jdiggity and our old friend Jane...

at the pumpkin patch.... it is gorgeous 80 something degrees out, so hot cider and pie are not really happening here... but Oktoberfest ale and pumpkin fro-yo (if they have that, I'm all over it) are in season!

We were spoiled with Darryl and Laquita's visit last weekend. It felt so awesome to have old friends nearby for beach walks and hanging out. Campbell is in love with both of them and can't wait to meet his new "cuz", Baby O'.
