St Pat's Hoops to close out 5th grade!

Very hard to get pics of Jbird these days.. both because she's so fast, and she's totally NOT into me taking pics of her. Ha! Busted post came 31 Flaves... MVP of her 5th grade team, a great honor and it is awesome watching her shine. She's a crazy lady on the courts.. Just goes all out!

Great sports.. even losing the game, always doing the cheer tunnel... Campbell wanted so desperately to participate.. sometimes sneaking into the line.

Fourth grade stand-out!

Celebrating all of Jbird's Fourth grade accomplishments!! One of the only girls in the all-school basketball tournament, Achievement awards, this year's "Invention Convention" entry : the "Can-Do" and Open House. We are proud of you, Bird!

Always on the move, it's hard to capture the Jbird on the fly...life is a literally a blur some days. She has kicked off 2011 by amazing everyone with her hoops prowess (first place in league shoot out!) and is always true to her tween-tomboy-hipster syle with her (sometimes questionable.. ie, same mens tee shirt tied in a knot for days in a row) oufit choices on a daily basis.

J is such a hoops fan and loved going to the superstar Aztecs game last weekend to amp her up for her own big game. Maybe she'll follow in her dad's footsteps and go to SDSU?

J is kicking off another great season of hoops as the tallest on her team, playing hard! Go, Bird.. (I have already been told to be quiet in the stands.. I GUESS I have a loud voice?? oh, god.)

Champion!

A real nail-biter finish for the Spurs! Jadyn had a blast playing with the boys this season and finished the season having scored 4 points with countless assists (clapping from the bench counts, right?) and a few thoughts of a rebound. Her biggest fan wore his headband in her honor for the finals. Sort of looked like a head-wound.

In other news...

The last photo of the big mono-e-mono basketball game on the 3rd of July, the Rose driveway ... scene of Justin's disgusting demise as king of the courts. Taken by ambulance with a broken ankle.. he is just now, a week and a half later, returning to life.. with crutches and a cast (and metal screws and bolts that look like part of an erector set from Home Depot). We've gotten better at nursing, Jbird and I.. and hope Dad can bounce back soon. Unfortunately, Jbird's summer hoops season is just starting, so Dad won't be able to work on her boards with her... Stay tuned for pix of her (the only girl in the league) in action.
