Happy Cotton Anniversary
Two years... feels like we've been together forever, but then again, it all flew by.. just like it all does, right? After a long day of work for both of us, we put on our wedding dresses, (Jbird and I) spur of the moment....talk about a few laughs!! um, ya, the dress still has dirt and wine stains from the ACTUAL July 29th... and is a little hard to zip (the seamstress's voice in my ear saying "don't eat another bite, it won't zip!")...and is kind of a different "feeling" with a baby trying to pull the fake boob cutlets out of the top and the rhinestones off of the straps... We had cousin Kaia be the photographer.. and put on the wedding soundtrack..danced around and were silly...and of course told Campbell all about it and everything he (thankfully) missed out on! Justin made "surf and turf" we had some bubbly and a nice celebration with everyone. We were saying we wish we had a big house, could have all of our friends over and celebrate like this every year... maybe one of these July 29ths!

We made it!

YEAR ONE! just flew by! so many things have changed, and as I said to Justin last night over the top of our wedding cake (we were iffy about eating it , as it had been in the freezer for the plast year... but never fear, it was delish) and there were so many unexpected things that I didn't know we'd have to "adjust to" thoroughout the year. In so many ways, I felt like we already were a little "family" prior to the wedding... but words cannot explain the good feeling knowing that it was official and we are all HEITS.. making our own little history here. The year has been full of learning experiences and lots of learning to compromise and be a team, instead of each of us living with eachother's independent ways. More than taking care of eachother, it is about seeing myself as half of a whole. Happy Anniversary, babe. (ya, we subbed the good champagne for milk this year. RAGERS!)
