Easter kick-off in Hanover

neighborhood egg-hunt with all of the friends.. these kids are so lucky to have someone of each of their ages on the block

Easter at the Village Preschool

Although he passed on making bunny ears (he said he already had some at home.. which he did... but come ON, Bud), the egg hunt was super cute at C's preschool... and Leo got to hang out for circle time.

Easter!

Poor documentation on our part.. but suffice to say, every egg found by Campbell was like the first... so exciting...lots of birthday / baby's first Easter fun was had (of course dress shirt was shed as soon as we got to Townzie's house... and Campbell never really knows when he might need to skate, thus helmet whilst hunting??)...and Grandma Mickie's bunny hat was rediscovered for Weeo.

baking bunny

J baked her first batch of (the famous) Nana B sugar cookies all by herself this Easter... she even colored the dough green and pink, just like the Williams Sonoma deco kit (thanks, Aunt Terry). They were extremely edible... good job, Bird!

Bunny Bribery

Getting Campbell this close to the EB cost me a couple of cars and a new pair of shoes... he was petrified and would NOT sit on his lap... didn't help that every kid before us in line cried at the bunny, too. Not ol' Leo. Totally calm in the nice soft (gross) fur of the mall bunny. Unfortunately, Jbird was at school when these shenanigans took place.. I may need to repeat with her assistance... or maybe just have Justin rent his favorite bunny suit again.

Heit hunting...

We were so excited to see that Townsend and Campbell really "got" the egg hunting thing on Easter this year. Awesome Easter brunch and hunt..(and all day hang-out sesh) at K&J Heits and the boys were priceless all day. There is no way we can separate these guys... Bert and Ernie all over again.

A real character

After finding the golden egg at the hunt (a treasure for the kid who is always the eldest at the party, it seems)... Jbird took it upon herself to have a little fun in the bunny suit and was hoping to win over her little bro on the whole "idea".. unsuccessful at winning over C, but the neighborhood kids were in hysterics as she came out to play hoops looking like this..

Some bunny to love

What a gorgeous day for an egg hunt. The Garretts had an adorable party... all details were just perfs...Justin was extremely festive and came dressed up! Sadly, the EB costume was not loved by all of the under 5 sect.... especially Campbell. I need to find some pix from the Halloween 2004 when Justin rented (probably this same, unwashed gross) costume and had a blast... the problem this time was that he couldn't reveal his true identity to the other kiddos and they were by and large freaked out....

Get ready for some serious Easter fun.

Kicking off Easter weekend 2010

Egg-spert

Jbird came home from play practice (dress rehearsal with the pigtails... I mean, she's sure NO ONE recognized her with this 'do) and set up this cute egg dyeing area for Olivia, Campbell and Kate... C didn't know that he wasn't supposed to drink it.

Where did a year go?

or last month for that matter?
Blog slacker here... life is just flying by..and not enough moments caught on film.. I need a camera holster at all times, it seems..

After a fun egg hunt on Easter morning after church, and a prEaster brunch at our house the day before, Campbell and Townsend reunited at Nana and Poppi's for some Easter fun (ie. playing in the ice bucket..)
disclaimer.. bunny ear beanie made by Grandma Mickie

Townsie, could you be any cuter??
my little beaver boy.
what, is it Christmas or Easter? The EB hid 62 eggs for the Heit kiddos to find.. and baskets full of fun stuff...and all of the candy (which Justin and I promptly dug into.. and Campbell ran off with.. J didn't even bother dumping hers out? No sweet tooth?? bizarre!! in fact, this is the third year in a row that the 'too tall bunny' has been in her basket.. same ONE!)
