We are so proud of Julia, the latest college grad. So exciting and emotional to see the caps and gowns and realize they're all official, jobless grown-ups now.. and to think, the next graduate in the family will be Jadyn? Is that right?? wow!! time is flying.
I finally got to meet the NY Heits! What a treat! Libby (Grandma B), Murray (Grandpa Poppa), and Aunt Fran (who loved telling Justin he looks just like "Stuie"
Birthday boy passed out right as we were boarding the tram back to the car after an exciting day below, is possibly the ugliest mouse ears hat available. This is what happens when you let a 3 year old pick his own. It was a real toss up between this and the one with a car on it and wheels for the ears. ugh! ha! how's the hoop earring in it?? I'm a super geek. Man of honor celebrated at Disney, kicking it off with breakfast with the characters... he was a bit hesitant of any real photo ops, but thought the whole thing was great. Way to get an early start and beat the church crew and lines. We sailed through the day and had a blast. Always glad to have Auntie Ju-ya, our disney companion, on board.
Auntie Julia; the most level headed, savvy twenty-something we know. You have an amazing way of making people feel at ease and can relate to anyone, be they 2 or 82. Happy birthday week! (so glad to have someone to accompany me to Crumbs, finally!)
A great change of pace as we headed out to "gramma's" for Txgiving in Palm Desert. It was so much fun to hang by the pool before / during/ after eating and drinking. Loads of great memories for us out there. some quality time with auntie ju-ah, as she points out her own picture in the month's periodicals.... "well, I may not be on the cover, Campbell, but it's only a matter of time"
California Christmastime! that feather!! pretending she doesn't want her own pirate hat.. ignore the foreground.. I love Jadyn and Justin's smiles... arrrgh. melting my heart... even though the hat looks almost sombrero-ish.. he just loves it.. and the way he lit up at all of the rides.. my face still hurts from all of the laughter that filled this day
A fun day in LA with Auntie Ju-ya.. lunch at the Farmer's Market (new friends found when you are close to the ground) and shopping till we dropped.. and just in case we did.. a (really inexpensive.. ha!) helmet found by yours truly.
I'm still cracking up at all of the fun Julia and I had going to see Ellen (along with 5000 close friends). We were, naturally, the craziest dancing fools.. giddy from the time we arrived at the studio.. or should I say from the time we made it to the nasty traffic on the way... Julia flashing the vip ticket in the window trying to make people move out of our way is a priceless memory. We didn't want to leave... Come on Ellen, don't you want to have us over for a bbq??
