Birthday boy passed out right as we were boarding the tram back to the car after an exciting day below, is possibly the ugliest mouse ears hat available. This is what happens when you let a 3 year old pick his own. It was a real toss up between this and the one with a car on it and wheels for the ears. ugh! ha! how's the hoop earring in it?? I'm a super geek. Man of honor celebrated at Disney, kicking it off with breakfast with the characters... he was a bit hesitant of any real photo ops, but thought the whole thing was great. Way to get an early start and beat the church crew and lines. We sailed through the day and had a blast. Always glad to have Auntie Ju-ya, our disney companion, on board.
Despite the sold out crowd and non-stop rain, Heits managed a *few* smiles to celebrate Townsend and Poppis shared birthday at D-land. seriously. it was all about umbrellas and ponchos.. where are we, Oregon?? you might have thought so with all of the Ducks in town for the Rose Bowl. The birthday boys.. finally warm and out of the rain.
and she chose a feather in her cap, too... Half her life has passed... Auntie Jdawg saved these precious memories. We can't get over it. Can we please rewind??? The video is killing me.
California Christmastime! that feather!! pretending she doesn't want her own pirate hat.. ignore the foreground.. I love Jadyn and Justin's smiles... arrrgh. melting my heart... even though the hat looks almost sombrero-ish.. he just loves it.. and the way he lit up at all of the rides.. my face still hurts from all of the laughter that filled this day
... and this is probably only funny to us, but still cracking up at our stupid decision to go on Splash Mountain at 6pm...after 8 hours of disney fun.. why not, right?? it was a chilly day in California and of course we didn't think we'd get THAT wet...ponchos are for wusses, right? and we didn't even have a fast pass.. what WERE we thinking??? Justin in the front of the log?? haaaa... ok, but the best is his soaked pants...and the photo does not do it justice.. he looked like he had just taken a shower.. no the best is the GREY MICKEY SWEATS HE RAN, yes RAN into the souvenir shop to buy. Nevermind the fact that Poppi and I are walking around in puddles and my light blue pants are completely see-through. Ha.
It's been a while since Justin, Jadyn and I had been to D-land and we were thrilled to spend Jadyn's 8th and Campbell's first trip there! Nana and Poppi accompanied for the fun and seriously, my mouth and face still hurt from laughing and smiling so much. Justin and I kept reminding Jadyn of the first time we took her when she was 3 and thought the tram ride from the parking lot was the ride.. she loved everything about it and we were tearing up at her awe. She's an old pro now and begrudgingly tried (and of course ended up loving) some of the big-kid rides... her favorite was Big Thunder Railroad and Star Tours she says.
ok, it was exhausting for all of us... lucky little man got to take a cat nap instead of Pirates of the "carrot-bean" as Jadyn used to say (back when she was scared of that ride)
