Channelling Lance

Jbird's very first book report was a biography on Lance Armstrong (her choice). Thanks to Blair for loaning her the sweet outfit... she rode her bike and dressed like Lance to present... go XtraXtra credit!! I wish I could have been there to see it all go down. We are so proud.

Making our ride to school a little brighter...

...having Butch along for the carpool... obviously, he and Jbird have a special connection as they showed up in matching outfits this morning

Invention Convention

Haven't you ever wanted to read at night and not get out of your bed to turn on the lights??? Well, duh! Get yourself some "Night Sight" invented by Jbird!

Nerds rule! Coincidentally, this is selling for the same price as last year's Scooler... only $5. Come on! Talk about recession friendly.

Sweetheart dance

A little hesitant to even post these pictures as Jbird looks so grown up it's freaking us out. She requested a 'curly' 'do from Aunt Kelly.. and this is her "punk rock" skirt.. love it. Definitely one of her most treasured nights of the year with her dad; Father-Daughter dance at school... evidently, lots of rug-cutting, followed by a date to Islands. I would LOVE to have been a fly on the wall, of course no cameras documented.. a night only to live in their memories.. I know my sisters and I have equally fond memories of our own father-daughter nights with Shirley Temples, extra straws.

3rd grader???

looking sassy, Jbird. I can't believe it's been so long on Silverado Street. Our "temporary" first home. haa!! Seems like just yesterday was her first day in kindergarten. I just love how Jadyn starts the year with a mexican tan. So happy to be at Carrillo School again this year... go Peacocks.. I mean Colts. (the campus is full of real, roaming peacocks... so cool.) J wore a peacock feather headband for her first day... great outfit. (Thanks Jdawg for the skirt-couragement)
