Diva dad ism
Everytime we go to dress up for one of the well, if we're lucky, THE one special occasion a year for which we dress up, Justin has major wardrobe malfunctions and drama. Clothing is strewn all over the closet and bedroom and he is wearing a random outfit with unmatching socks and ??? He has taken to wearing more "slim fit" pants in his normal day to day life (not to mention he weighs like 15 lb since he was sick back in April) and his favorites are, as he says, his CORDUR-OIDS

The sweetest Justinism
that I will never correct (and hopefully neither will he)
.... "Sing Campbell a LOVE-A-BYE and he'll relax"... awe.
Hopefully soon I can get some audio of Jadyn's 'open mic night at the coffee shop style' songs she's composing. It's hysterical...suffice to say it's super breathy singing with the words "paar-aah-dysse" and the like.

-Isms are still a part of Heit life....
my short term memory just isn't what it once was.. I keep forgetting the hillarious stuff my husband says... till now..
I got an email about "paying the bills" and getting us out of DEPTH...haha
and big sister was in the back seat with Cam..when I asked her what he was doing, she says "oh he's just CHILDREN"... hmm..is that like "chillin'"?

Welcome to your new world, little (teeny) man!
Happy BIRTH day!
Last shot of Campbell "backstage" ... the scariest morning of my life.. I was a wreck.. freaked out about the surgery and still in disbelief that we were about to meet this little human. Before Jadyn left for school, she predicted the baby would be "Chloe"... and Dad and I woke up still deliberating on our choice of boy names
After nearly passing out from the glimpse of the surgery.. Dad has the surprise of his life with his baby boy... of course no event complete witout a good "justinism"...he's wearing his OR "SHrubs"
fresh out!!!
J.bird meets big C for the first time... she's pretty stoked on her "big sis" gifts, too.
the 3 split seconds that he stays swaddled.. his little legs and arms kick out of the burrito wrap in no time.

Thursday afterschool.. officially ONE day old. And big sis is so proud.. wore her "badge" all day. Skipped soccer practice to come visit her bro.

Friday morning in our glamourous hospital room.. He's getting bigger, right?

Big Sister comes for a visit on Friday afternoon. She is the offical "rotector of her baby brother," she told everyone at school... I think that means PROtector... awe, she is her father's daughter.

Campbell in his ONE outfit that fits him... I don't know why the hospital puts newborns in these karate shirts that I swear are size 2T... He was so happy to be in his fitted frenchie onesie. aaah.
After the days and nights that all ran into one another at the hospital were over and it was time for Campbell and me to see the light of day...we were so anxious to get home to our "new" life... and really put that diaper genie to use. ha.

Kirbys welcomed the newest kid on the block... Look out Olivia... you're old news. ;)

More laughs from the peanut gallery...
Justinisms at it again..
"you know, that rush people feel when they do extreme sports, like skateboarding down rails or surfing big waves, when your body releases those ORPHANS..." (I was crying imagining little babies crying "I have no mom or dad!")

Justinisms
For those readers and friends who don't know.. a certain "diction" is common when conversing with my husband. One who might not be used to it, may mistake him for joking around.. and one of my favorite qualities about him is that he can just laugh at himself when I give him a hard time for his made up words and mispronunciations... these that provide me with laughter for days to come.
On Saturday night, he suggested we go to Anthropologie and maybe I could pick out a dress or something.. since all of the clothes in the store look like "fraternity" clothes these days.... um, or "MATernity"?
