Scenes from a LOVEly weekend

Scott & Amanda's wedding and Taylor & Kate (Kaylor? Tayte?) Engagement party in September.. Leo and I made a cameo... and Leo gave Big P a lesson on iphone use..hung with his NanaB, Uncles and Aunties.. was a chick magnet on the dance floor and basically his little diablo self "off site".  No shortage of delicious NanaB mini pies, ice cream sundaes, petit fours and treats.. A weekend full of great memories and lots of smiles.

Fourth grade stand-out!

Celebrating all of Jbird's Fourth grade accomplishments!! One of the only girls in the all-school basketball tournament, Achievement awards, this year's "Invention Convention" entry : the "Can-Do" and Open House. We are proud of you, Bird!

On the way to Portland for a new job and a new adventure. She and Rocky were beat from the long route they traveled from Austin to SD in only 2 days..We did some good R&R at the beach and pool with some adventures at the races..No quarter-horses, Rock-Rock... (not that Kate and I knew what he was talking about..)

We really miss you guys...the house feels empty today.. but sure are glad we got to kick off Fall with the extra hot salsa and Hatch chips and close out the weekend with the first Pumpkin spice latte after our fabulous "last lunch" at the Burgerlounge. YUM.

A little taste of real fall in the Pacific Northwest...

The trip to Oregon was a complete whirlwind of activities.. we are all still tired a week later. Everything was awesome! We couldn't have asked for better weather.. crisp an cold in the mornings and night and warm, sunny, leaves turning by day. I can only imagine how exhausted the bride and groom and the parents of the aforementioned must be... they all did SO many hand craft touches.. and there was Nana B feeding the entire state of Oregon with her to-die-for pastries and savories... more photo memories as we have them.. What a fun weekend in Pullman to celebrate Kate's graduation. No one can believe she's really done with college and to us, she is still the baby... even though she's acheived more in her 22 years of life than I will probably ever even dream is possible. A true star and (over) acheiver. Anything she puts her heart and mind to will turn to gold.. and anyone fortunate enough to be in the path of this determined spririt is lucky. We love you, Kate!

PS. SUPER fun hanging at "the Coug" (even with the root beer substitution). This is the fine institution at WSU that is the mirror image of every-camus, USA's stand-around-drinking-pitchers-writing-on-the-wall-screaming-along-to-bon-jovi-on-the-juke-box kind of bar. The whole experience of being in a college town is so deja vu for me.. and I imagine for Stef and Joe, too... most of the time, looking back, I'm already saying, "I can't believe we did that"... not only to the all-day-all-night drink-a-thons... but to the living in the dorms or the sharing a grody bathroom with 4 roomates in a house that flooded in the winter..or the all night studying or finishing our damned pattern making finals or STARTING the night at 11pm.... wow. time sure flies.
