Roxy Cardiff Jam

A real big deal for Jbird! She and her friend, Peytie, ripped it up in the Teenie Wahine division of the contest held at their favorite wave break in Cardiff (same site as Campbell's first bday bash). I wish I had photos of the big tents and balloons... it was a real rush for girls, but I think even more so for the dads (who I also think were more nervous than the girls) as they got to be out there in the ocean pushing their daughters into the waves. The girls were so proud of themselves.. throwing shakas and peace signs to all of us spectators on the shore. Campbell even clapped for the first time (he usually does this funny thing with both hands together cheering) for his big sis as she strutted her stuff.

And yes, they're pink and rhinestoned...we were laughing so hard at his love for Emma's shades, the photo is less than ideal...um, isn't RAEN going to do a tott line??

he seems so happy for being up all night with that top tooth coming in... or maybe he's just a night owl by nature... I should have gotten him that "party in my crib" onesie when he was born... meanwhile, I'm on my 100th cup of java here...

It's RAEN ing this Indian Summer!

Jadyn surfed her very first official contest.. and couldn't have been a better one!! She came in 5th and ended up winning a surfboard at the end of the day (I guess they "forgot" her trophy?? ;))

Jadyn's cool outfit for her first day at a new school. I think she was a little nervous, but we were so excited for her as she headed off with her new supplies and new clothes... and SCARF on an 80 degree day in Southern California. I still have butterflies wondering what they're doing "getting to know each other" in her new classroom.

One way to get into the "back to school" spirit..

is coming to WORK with Bibiff... Jbird and her friend, Emma, a real fashionista, assisted me at Macy's dressing the mannies and merchandising last week. And no trip to the mall is complete without a trip to Hot Dog on a Stick, right? I was cracking up at them as they walked 5 steps ahead of me pretending they were at the mall by themselves.. envisioning their 2nd grade years ahead and pretending they would "text" each other any news and events that went on during the days...
