Spools o fun

Another strange coincidence.. Campbell was having a BLAST playing with empty ribbon spools as I tried (unsuccessfully) to organize my crafts. When we were babies, Grandma (Dolo) had a big box of wooden spools that we played with as 'toys'... Project Runway here he comes.

Two Toofs

Campbell's always waiting for me when he wakes from a nap, jumping up and down, blaring his baby stereo (that music box thing behind him that plays baby Mozart, Beethoven and something else.. he pushes all the buttons upon waking) showing me his big ol' toothy grin.... Random, I just thought of this little tid bit from our circle of life: these were the first two teeth (in her mouth, of course) that Jadyn lost.

Summer school field trip

We are so lucky to have Palms Ranch in the 'family'... Campbell loves the tractor (as do the girls.. they ride in the back and let the wind blow through their hair.. really believing that the breaks are going to go out and they're going to fly through the hills of avocado and citrus fields on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride) and he loves Copoline, the black lab.. not so sure of Ziggy the (gross fat) pig, the ducks, the chickens or the goats... but Shelby is right at home and loves even the new baby...rats... I declined a view of these buddies.

Our favorite juggler (jungler as Jadyn says) and Campbell's first cougar crush finally tied the knot and had a mighty fun backyard fiesta celebration to kick off the wedded bliss!

Another fine vintage look on CGH. Someone asked where this yacht club is that we belong to.. San Marcos-by-the-sea, ever heard of it???

So tired

C doesn't really like to miss out on any action during the day.. it's hard to make him take a nap... until he sits still in his high chair at dinner (yes, more Cheerios) and passes out.

Great place for a brother...

A nice representation of Jadyn's brother-sitting skills.. "he loves this" (sure looks like it, doesn't it??) .. also note her favorite cutoffs were found ( had them hidden deeeeeep in her drawers) and are a little more snug this summer.

Temporary Babysitting..

My little TV head has "graduated" from watching MY shows (Oprah, Ellen, reality du jour) to being mesmerized by Sesame Street... it all started one day when I was trying to corral him on my bed and flipping by, we found James Blunt as the guest host/ celeb on Sesame Street.. singing... "You're beautiful" only... "A Triangle... a triangle.. a triangle, it's true..." I was cracking up, and C was in love... also, of course recognizing Elmo and laughing at the tv. So, I'm able to occupy him for maybe 15-20 minutes now while I unload the dishes or take a quick shower...Also, those without kids will be glad to know Maria, Luis, Gordon and the crew still live at the same walk-up on Sesame Street with trash-loving Oscar outside...and is Snuffy a woolly mammoth or an anteater?

Campbell loved the swing so much at his 'buddy' Aiden's first bday bash, he fell asleep.

Shelby and Jbird had a BLAST at Legoland. Campbell was totally jealous that he wasn't tall enough to ride the rides...the girls lapped the rollercoasters over and over.. not even 'fraid at ALL. so cute
