Yes, we were a part of the most viewed cable movie of all time.. High School Musical part deux. Our festive friends, the Slaters, dressed up in character and hosted a soiree where we ate everything that was shown on the movie, had the same drinks and had decorations all over the house .. "What time is it??" Slaters go all the way.. Jennifer greeted us as Ms. Darbus, collecting our cell phones... Evan was Ryan with his hat and gayball outfit... Peytie had imitated Gabriella's outfit exactly from the bazillion commercials aired on Disney.. Zoe was Kelsey, the piano player/ "playmaker"... their friend Sierra was totally Sharpay... everyone got into the act... I am claiming I was the "pop and locker" (okaay, she's chunky!)but a good dancer, right?

As for a review..personally, I think there were more catchy tunes in part 1... but I think I'm a little older than the demographic?

Preggo brain

Is a real thing. Not that I'm particularly swift nor coordinated while UNpregnant.. but this week alone... I have thrown my phone in the trash can.. and locked my keys in the car upon arriving home... oh, ya, with the spares in the glove box.. since we're allegedly selling my car.. and poor AAA man who came to my rescue.. it's only 120 degrees out today, not to mention IN the garage. nice.

First Grade!! Already!

Someone was a little bummed at me that her new shoes were still too big this morning... but she was so cute on her big first day... when we were talking about how she is going to have a much longer day than kindergarten she asked , "So, are we just going to do big-kid stuff all day?"... it was a scortcher today as we dropped her off and followed her (psycho parents) to the classroom... sooo hot out in the "desert" where we live?? for the love of god. My pregnant self was sweating bullets and only more mortified when my loving husband kept drawing attention to the makeup running off my face .... despite the heat and my not-so-conspicuous offers to take them home, she INSISTED on wearing jeans "just like Julia"...oh, and some "old" kindergarten buddies reunited on the playground.

Last day of summer

Didn't we just have "summer kick off" beach day? This summer has FLOWN by... Jadyn capped off her weekend by pulling out ("Justin method") another tooth...We are so proud and amazed by her surfing. The beginning of the summer was all about riding out on the tandem board with dad, now she's shredding on her own board and charging any waves that come her way. She asked Justin how to get in a "photo shoot" for Surfing magazine... he replied that she would probably have to learn how to do a "floater" (?)... she, in her most serious voice, responded that she was going to really practice until the big shoot..
