Trop mignon

cuddlebug...don't ever grow out of these little button-on-the-backside jammies

We couldn't be more proud...

A real lesson in humility.. the day of Jadyn's big all-school assembly to announce she is "student o'the month" (did we think this would ever happen??) it was the most torrential down pour of the year. Dad, Campbell (in stroller) and I looked like we had just taken a shower with our clothes on by the time we made it up to the school from the parking lot... only to find out that the assembly was canceled because of the rain (good thing it only rains like once a year)... so only her little class and her little family can brag about her being chosen for her courtesy and respect for others. Way to go, Jbird. Ya, it's on the car. I know.

Not just a spectator anymore...

The San Marcos Christmas Parade = Jadyn's first parade in which she marched with her Brownie troop. Backstory= their troop theme (which was wildly popular with the crowd) was "recycling", thus the homemade hats. It was a gorgeous day for a parade, however, I don't think any of us realized the dark underbelly of parade prep.. meaning we were standing around in the college parking lot waiting to GO for HOURS before hand. It was greuling... don't even get me started on the town and the crowd of San Marcos... suffice to say, these girls should earn their "multicultural" patch for marching through the barrio...Although we live in a cozy little new suburb, we are technically in the town of San Maros, although we usually don't cross the tracks (awful as that sounds) ...and those taco shops were torturous to us hungry mommmas marching alongside, waving, and shouting "Feliz Navidad".

Go Beavers!!

Beat The Ducks!! and that they did in the Civil War game on Saturday... we partied down chez Heit in our orange and black, while decking the halls..so into the game, we almost missed the Annual Heit get-together-to-watch-the-Encinitas-Christmas parade...

Happy Birthday!

November 29th, Campbell is 3 months old already!? Of course I can't believe how fast it has gone.. and how big he has gotten.. and does this mean maternity leave is almost over? whaaaaaaa!
