Do we look like our moms?

A little reunion with some old friends and OUR kiddos.. so crazy. Molly, Nancy and I have been friends forever... and it's so hard to believe we're grown up and have come a long way from the Blazers-lovin, Paris Blues, volleyball-tourneys-eating-those-monster-rice-krispie-treats dorky ways of our youth. Molly's beauties and Nancy's son Kyle with Big C, hangin out. haa.. he looks like he's posing for a team picture.. the shrimpy one lying in the front of the team. haa

Kyle and Campbell...exactly one month apart. This foto kills me...chillin in the armchair waiting for someone to turn on the football

A little trip to Portland... oh, the family you'll see

Mmm.Mmm.Good

Oprah is a brand

Jadyn was helping me make dinner and asked, "why does the spinach say Oprah?" ha!! I'm willing to wager that Vons was banking on that connection to sell more spinach.. and other healthy stuff.

Snap n Go that went?!!! oh, snap!

Of course our trip was not devoid of mishaps as Justin spent some time locked out, lost and sweaty.... but the craziest event happened on our last morning on the island. Long story even longer, we borrowed a bunch of baby gear from our BIF (best island friend), Becki. She was swinging by our place on her way to work to pick it up, and Justin loaded it into this (pictured) travel stroller base and took it down the elevator. Being that it was only 6.30 in the morning, he figured it was safe to leave the empty thing at the elevator while he ran across the street to Starbucks. We even had this convo as he left... "go grab coffee after" said I... "what do I do with this?" said he... "oh, gosh, there are so many crack heads wandering around with shopping carts, no one will even notice if you walk across the street with that thing" I jested.... "but I'm sure it will be fine at the elevator"...

Who showed up with Starbucks (a whole 'nuther blog topic, why don't they make the Thai espresso here 'mainland'?? it is SO good coupled with another island specialty, the 'oatcake' at Starbs) and no Snap-n-go? That's right!! It was stolen in the 2 minutes that he ran across the street!

We were flustered and furious.... alas, we put (uber effective, as witnessed in the Candy Caper) Heit Detective Agency, Jadyn, P.I. on the case. I remembered the parking lot attendant and told Justin to call the guy when he got in...sure enough, J&J got the guy to utilize all of his fancy surveliance equipment and rewound to 6.30ish... when ..NABBED!! Clear as can be, the video showed two OLD LADIES come out of the elevator and steal the stroller, and GET BACK IN THE ELEVATOR AND GO to WORK!! they worked at the condo complex!! BUSTED! Stupid!! The manager got involved and the Bee$%@@ches told him they "thought it was abandoned".. ya right. They were too embarassed to show their faces and deliever it back to us, so they sent some lackie of theirs to do the dirty work and we got it back... an hour before we headed to the airport. Where's the ALOHA spirit??? Jeez!!
